Renewal Of Vows Ceremony
This ceremony usually
has the same elements as the traditional or contemporary
ceremony. The main difference is what is said during
the exchange of vows and declaration because there are no
legal ramifications of the ceremony. We have seen the
renewal celebration in back yards as well as in more formal
settings. No matter where it might be, there is always a more
relaxed feel to the event. Often it has a
party atmosphere with a renewal celebration in the middle. There may be chairs
(or no chairs), and food and beverages are
usually available when the guest arrive...giving the whole
event a more relaxed feel.
We have provided in
our ceremony resources some renewal vows to help you plan
your ceremony.
We have not included specific wording
for this ceremony because each ceremony is uniquely designed
by you the Bride and Groom.
A
typical vow renewal ceremony would be as follows:
Musical Prelude
Processional
Welcome/Opening Words
Affirmation of Families/Guests
Motivational Moment
Renewal Vow Exchange
Ring/Gift Exchange
Declaration Of Recommitment
Kiss
Readings/ Blessings
Closing Words/Announcements
Presentation Of Couple/Toast
Musical Postlude
